The
designation of Certified Graduate Remodelor� (CGR) from
the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelors�
Council recognizes those remodelors who demonstrate
exceptional business integrity, technical competence and a
solid track record of customer satisfaction. To earn the CGR
designation, a remodeler must complete a series of
industry-specific education courses, provide letters of
recommendation, proof of licensing and insurance and adhere
to a strict Code of Ethics. CGR stands for professionalism,
experience and a commitment to quality.

The
designation of Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist� (CAPS)
from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)
Remodelors� Council recognizes those remodelors who have
completed the CAPS program. The program teaches the
technical, business management, and customer service skills
essential to making home modifications for aging-in-place.
The NAHB describes aging-in-place as remaining in one's home
safely, independently, and comfortably, regardless of age,
income, or ability level. It means the pleasure of
living in a familiar environment throughout one's maturing
years, and the ability to enjoy the familiar daily rituals
and the special events that enrich all our lives. It
means the reassurance of being able to call a house a
"home" for a lifetime.
